Course Description
Dr. Chen Wu-Wei (Ph.D., M.F.A.) is an Associate Professor at the Academy of Film and Creative Technology of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Chen’s publications focus on the digital heritage imaging of Asia and are responsible for the editorial board of the Journal of Cultural Heritage Management and Sustainable Development. Prof. Chen previously worked on the digital documentation of cave temples in China. Currently, he focuses on the tangible/intangible cultural heritage of Central Java, Namsan, and West Asia. This module will be delivered by a combination of lectures, seminars, tutorials and fieldwork. Lectures will be designed to provide essential information, knowledge and theories in curatorial practice; seminars will be based on case study and projects; tutorials will help the students to engage with the module content and their projects – graduate exhibition. The fieldwork will provide the opportunities for students to get a close insight of curating events and exhibitions, both physically and virtually.
